A Pre-Order Grafting Request is an order for us to produce the specific tree that we don't currently have available in stock. We must graft the tree and then it must go through a multi-month process to heal and grow. Only Once the small tree has completed two flushes of growth since it was grafted do we consider it ready to leave our nursery.

From Gary Zill's breeding program, Pina Colada is a cross between the Dot and Gary.
The Trees are of low-vigor, spreading open canopy with thin leaves.
The fruit are small, often under 8 oz in weight, shaped similarly to the Fairchild mango, with poor flesh-to-seed ratio.
The Fruit go from green to light yellow at maturity. The flesh is yellow, fiberless, extremely rich and sweet, with pina colada flavor coming out when fruit are on the riper side. The seed is large relative to the fruit itself and is polyembryonic.
Production appears to be light for many and trees are highly disease
prone in western areas. Closer to the coast in our area they can fruit acceptably, though the actualy pounds produced is never high owing to the weight of the individual fruit themselves. A superbly flavored mango whose low yield and small fruit size hold it back.
