IMPORTANT READ BEFORE Make your Grafting Request Order

Deadline for Spring 2023 Orders is September 30th/2022.

A grafting request is an order for us to produce the specific tree that we don't currently have available in stock. We must graft the tree and then it must go through a multi-month process to heal and grow. Only Once the small tree has completed two flushes of growth since it was grafted do we consider it ready to leave our nursery.

Orders will be grafted later this year, and should be ready in the Spring or Summer /2023.

All the requests made after September 30th 2022 will be grafted this late spring, and it wouldn’t be ready until Fall, maybe October or November 2023

Hasya is originally from Mexico, where it has been grown on commercial scale. It was introduced to Florida decades ago, and has become one of the most propagated sapodilla cultivars in the nursery trade since.

It is a medium sized fruit, slightly oblong in shape and ranging from 8-12 oz in weight typically. The flesh has little-to-no grit, and has a reddish tinged color, normally containing only one or two seeds. The flavor is oustanding, and we regard Hasya as one of our favorite tasting sapodillas.

Hasya trees are moderately vigorous growers in the long run and will eventually require pruning. They do not normally self-pollinate well, which can limit their productivity and they benefit considerably from having other sapodilla varieties growing somewhere nearby to help pollinate them. In this situation, Hasya trees can produce quite well. Their main season here is usually between December and February.
